THE INDEPENDENT (LIVERMORE) -- The guest juror for this year’s show is Mel Prest, an active artist, curator and educator living and working in San Francisco and occasionally New York. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from Rhode Island School of Design and her Master of Fine Arts from Mills College in Oakland, and has taught at Mills College, San Francisco State University, San Francisco City College, San Francisco Art Institute and California College of the Arts.
