David Hirsh discusses his new book Contemporary Left Anti-Semitism (Routledge). Hirsh is senior lecturer in sociology at Goldsmiths University of London and co-chair of Research Network 31 on Racism, Antisemitism and Ethnic Relations. "The recent emergence of a tolerance for 'alt-right' or 'white nationalist' politics into the mainstream, with its own relationships to anti-Semitism, structures itself in some ways similarly to the left-wing anti-Semitism analyzed in the book," Hirsh says.
